Winning Ways Continue For Bury

BGSOB 11-0 Morecambe
Fidler (4)
Foster (3)
C. Lowe (2)
Matthews
Berry

The Old Boys continued their good early season form by cruising to a victory over a much weakened Morecambe side. With one player missing and one half-injured, the visitors were always going to be up against it, and so it proved as Bury took a five-nil half time lead.

The pick of the first half goals being Andy Foster’s second, as he controlled a difficult, bouncing ball from Jonny Lowe before slotting the ball home. The second half saw six further goals, including another one out of the top drawer from Fiddler.

All in all Fiddler grabbed four, Foster ‘bagged’ a hat-trick, Chris Lowe opened his Old Boys account with two and Berry and Matthews got one a piece. A

ll credit must go to Morecambe, who played with great spirit in a difficult situation. The Old Boys are fully aware that when they make the trip up to Morecambe, this game will have a vastly different score-line.

Bury move on to face the challenge of Bowdon next weekend, as they try to maintain their excellent form.
